10 | Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: |

12 | Section 1. Section 456.066, Florida Statutes, is amended |
13 | to read: |
14 | 456.066 Reporting Prosecution of criminal violations.--The |
15 | department or the appropriate board shall report any apparent |
16 | criminal violation of any statute relating to the practice of a |
17 | profession regulated by the department or appropriate board to |
18 | the proper law enforcement agency prosecuting authority for |
19 | prompt investigation prosecution. The department or the |
20 | appropriate board shall report any apparent Medicaid fraud to |
21 | the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit in the Department of Legal |
22 | Affairs for prompt investigation. |
23 | Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2006. |
