1	A bill to be entitled
2	An act relating to reporting of criminal violations;
3	amending s. 456.066, F.S.; requiring the Department of
4	Health or the appropriate board to report apparent
5	violations of law to law enforcement agencies and apparent
6	Medicaid fraud to the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit in the
7	Department of Legal Affairs for prompt investigation;
8	providing an effective date.

10	Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

12	Section 1.  Section 456.066, Florida Statutes, is amended
13	to read:
14	456.066  Reporting Prosecution of criminal violations.--The
15	department or the appropriate board shall report any apparent
16	criminal violation of any statute relating to the practice of a
17	profession regulated by the department or appropriate board to
18	the proper law enforcement agency prosecuting authority for
19	prompt investigation prosecution. The department or the
20	appropriate board shall report any apparent Medicaid fraud to
21	the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit in the Department of Legal
22	Affairs for prompt investigation.
23	Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2006.
