12 (Margolis) recommended the following amendment:

14 Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
15 On page 1, lines 10 through 15, delete those lines
16
17 and insert:
18 Section 1. The Department of Management Services shall
19 compile a list of unoccupied buildings owned by the state
20 which are suitable for use as emergency shelters during storms
21 or other catastrophic events. The buildings must meet the
22 applied standards of the American Red Cross. The list shall be
23 organized by county and municipality and shall be updated by
24 May 31 of each year. For the purpose of this section the term
25 "unoccupied" means vacant due to suspended operations or
26 nonuse.
