  2         An act relating to a review under the Open

  3         Government Sunset Review Act; amending s.

  4         213.053, F.S., relating to an exemption from

  5         public-records requirements for information

  6         contained in returns, accounts, or declarations

  7         received by the Department of Revenue pursuant

  8         to ch. 202, F.S.; saving the exemption from

  9         repeal under the Open Government Sunset Review

10         Act; deleting provisions that provide for the

11         repeal of the exemption; providing an effective

12         date.

14  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

15  

16         Section 1.  Paragraph (b) of subsection (1) of section

17  213.053, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:

18         213.053  Confidentiality and information sharing.--

19         (1)

20         (b)  The provisions of this section also apply to

21  chapter 202, the Communications Services Tax Simplification

22  Law. This paragraph is subject to the Open Government Sunset

23  Review Act of 1995 in accordance with s. 119.15, and shall

24  stand repealed on October 2, 2006, unless reviewed and saved

25  from repeal through reenactment by the Legislature.

26         Section 2.  This act shall take effect October 1, 2006.

29                          SENATE SUMMARY

30    Removes the repeal, scheduled for October 2, 2006, under
      the Open Government Sunset Review Act, of a
31    public-records exemption provided for certain information
      received by the Department of Revenue.
