11  Senator Fasano moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
14         Delete lines 230-246,

16  and insert:  
17         (7)(a)  The Office of Tourism, Trade, and Economic
18  Development shall notify the Department of Revenue of any
19  facility certified as a facility for a new professional sports
20  franchise or a facility for a retained professional sports
21  franchise or as a facility for a retained spring training
22  franchise. The Office of Tourism, Trade, and Economic
23  Development shall certify no more than eight facilities as
24  facilities for a new professional sports franchise or as
25  facilities for a retained professional sports franchise and
26  shall certify at least five as facilities for retained spring
27  training franchises, including in such total any facilities
28  certified by the Department of Commerce before July 1, 1996.
29  The office may make no more than one certification for any
30  facility. The office may not certify funding for less than the
31  requested amount to any applicant certified as a facility for

 1  a retained spring training franchise.
 2         (b)  The eighth certification of an applicant under
 3  this section as a facility for a new professional sports
 4  franchise or a facility for a retained professional sports
 5  franchise shall be for a franchise that is a member of the
 6  National Basketball Association, has been located within the
 7  state since 1987. This paragraph is repealed July 1, 2010.
