| 5 | Section 7. Paragraph (dd) is added to subsection (1) of |
| 6 | section 626.9541, Florida Statutes, to read: |
| 7 | 626.9541 Unfair methods of competition and unfair or |
| 8 | deceptive acts or practices defined.-- |
| 9 | (1) UNFAIR METHODS OF COMPETITION AND UNFAIR OR DECEPTIVE |
| 10 | ACTS.--The following are defined as unfair methods of |
| 11 | competition and unfair or deceptive acts or practices: |
| 12 | (dd) Selectively limiting insurance offerings.--Failing to |
| 13 | offer in this state a kind or line of insurance which it offers |
| 14 | in another jurisdiction. An insurer need not offer every kind or |
| 15 | line of insurance, or any particular kind or line of insurance, |
| 16 | in this state; however, if it offers a particular kind or line |
| 17 | of insurance anywhere it does business, it must offer the same |
| 18 | kind or line in this state. The commission shall adopt rules to |
| 19 | implement and administer this paragraph. |
