14 On page 18, between lines 9 and 10,

16 insert:
17 Section 8. Paragraph (a) of subsection (2) of section
18 1006.20, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:
19 1006.20 Athletics in public K-12 schools.--
20 (2) ADOPTION OF BYLAWS.--
21 (a) The organization shall adopt bylaws that, unless
22 specifically provided by statute, establish eligibility
23 requirements for all students who participate in high school
24 athletic competition in its member schools. The provisions of
25 the bylaws that govern governing residence and transfer shall
26 allow the student to be eligible at all levels of athletics in
27 the school in which he or she first enrolls each school year,
28 or makes himself or herself a candidate for an athletic team
29 by engaging in a practice prior to enrolling in any member
30 school. The student shall be eligible in that school so long
31 as he or she remains enrolled in that school. Subsequent The
