  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the practice of pharmacy;

  3         amending s. 465.0075, F.S.; requiring that an

  4         applicant for licensure as a pharmacist by

  5         endorsement who has been licensed in another

  6         state for more than 2 years before the date of

  7         application complete the required continuing

  8         education within a specified time; providing an

  9         effective date.

11  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

12  

13         Section 1.  Subsection (2) of section 465.0075, Florida

14  Statutes, is amended to read:

15         465.0075  Licensure by endorsement; requirements;

16  fee.--

17         (2)  An applicant licensed in another state for a

18  period in excess of 2 years before from the date of

19  application for licensure in this state shall submit a total

20  of at least 30 hours of board-approved continuing education

21  for the 24 months 2 calendar years immediately preceding

22  application.

23         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2006.

26                          SENATE SUMMARY

27    Requires that an applicant for licensure as a pharmacist
      by endorsement who has been licensed in another state for
28    more than 2 years before the date of application complete
      the required continuing education within the 24 months
29    preceding his or her application rather than within 2
      calendar years preceding application.
