13 | Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: |

15 | Section 1. The Supreme Court shall establish minimum |
16 | standards and procedures for qualifications, certification, |
17 | professional conduct, discipline, and training of foreign |
18 | language court interpreters who are appointed by a court of |
19 | competent jurisdiction. The Supreme Court shall set fees to be |
20 | charged to applicants for certification and renewal of |
21 | certification as a foreign language court interpreter. The |
22 | revenues generated from such fees shall be used to offset the |
23 | costs of administration of the certification program and shall |
24 | be deposited into the Operating Trust Fund within the state |
25 | courts system. The Supreme Court may appoint or employ such |
26 | personnel as is necessary to assist the court in administering |
27 | this section. |
28 | Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2006. |
