11  The Committee on Domestic Security (Diaz de la Portilla)
12  recommended the following amendment to amendment (864392):

14         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
15         On page 4, between lines 4 and 5,
16  
17  insert:  
18         Section 2.  The Legislature finds that infrastructure
19  enhancements and improvements to the radio system used by
20  state law enforcement agencies will provide increased
21  protection to the residents of this state and should be
22  considered for additional funding. In order to ensure
23  continued, improved communication and protection by state and
24  local law enforcement personnel, the recommendations of the
25  Joint Task Force on State Agency Law Enforcement
26  Communications, dated February 2005, or any subsequent
27  recommendations of the joint task force, should be implemented
28  contingent upon the appropriation of funds.
