11 The Committee on Domestic Security (Wise) recommended the
12 following amendment to substitute amendment (831804):

14 Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
15 On page 4, between lines 9 and 10,
16
17 insert:
18 (6) Multistory affordable residential dwellings for
19 persons age 62 and older which are financed or insured by the
20 United States Department of Housing and Urban Development must
21 make every effort to obtain grant funding from the Federal
22 Government or the Florida Housing Finance Corporation to
23 comply with this section. If an owner of such a residential
24 dwelling cannot comply, the owner must develop a plan with the
25 local emergency management director to ensure that residents
26 are evacuated to a place of safety in the event of a power
27 outage resulting from a natural or manmade disaster or other
28 emergency situation that disrupts the normal supply of
29 electricity for an extended period of time. A place of safety
30 may include, but is not limited to, relocation to an
31 alternative site within the building or evacuation to a local
