  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to building designations;

  3         designating the Florida Center for Solid and

  4         Hazardous Waste Management as the "William W.

  5         'Bill' Hinkley Center for Solid and Hazardous

  6         Waste Management"; directing the Department of

  7         Environmental Protection to erect suitable

  8         markers; providing an effective date.

10  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

11  

12         Section 1.  William W. "Bill" Hinkley Center for Solid

13  and Hazardous Waste Management designated; Department of

14  Environmental Protection to erect suitable markers.--

15         (1)  The Florida Center for Solid and Hazardous Waste

16  Management in Gainesville is designated as the "William W.

17  'Bill' Hinkley Center for Solid and Hazardous Waste

18  Management."

19         (2)  The Department of Environmental Protection, in

20  coordination with the University of Florida and the University

21  of Florida Foundation, will erect suitable markers designating

22  the William W. "Bill" Hinkley Center for Solid and Hazardous

23  Waste Management as described in subsection (1).

24         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2006.

26          STATEMENT OF SUBSTANTIAL CHANGES CONTAINED IN
                       COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR
27                         Senate Bill 876

28                                 

29  The committee substitute corrects Bill Hinkley's middle
    initial and provides that the Department of Environmental
30  Protection, in coordination with the University of Florida and
    the University of Florida Foundation, will erect suitable
31  markers.
