1	House Resolution
2	A resolution recognizing Gulf Stream Chapter 3201 of the
3	Association of the United States Army for supporting
4	activated Army National Guard and United States Army
5	Reserve personnel and assisting their families.

7	WHEREAS, the United States of America is involved in armed
8	conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan in its war against terrorism,
9	and
10	WHEREAS, the global war on terrorism has necessitated the
11	largest activation of Army National Guard and United States Army
12	Reserve troops in history, and
13	WHEREAS, Florida has been heavily tasked to provide a great
14	number of United States Army Reserve and Army National Guard
15	troops during the initial invasion and subsequent ongoing combat
16	operation, and
17	WHEREAS, many of these activated troops have left behind
18	families accustomed to larger incomes who must now reduce their
19	standard of living because of lower military pay scales, and
20	WHEREAS, a significant number of these activated servicemen
21	and servicewomen come from high-paying middle and senior
22	management civilian positions, and
23	WHEREAS, many times employers of these activated troops do
24	not supplement the income of these individuals, creating
25	additional hardships for their families, and
26	WHEREAS, Gulf Stream Chapter 3201 of the Association of the
27	United States Army has been diligent in providing support for
28	these troops and their families under these difficult
29	circumstances, NOW, THEREFORE,

31	Be It Resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of
32	Florida:

34	That the House of Representatives recognizes and honors the
35	work of the officers and members of Gulf Stream Chapter 3201 of
36	the Association of the United States Army in supporting these
37	activated Army National Guard and United States Army Reserve
38	personnel and in assisting the families of these Florida
39	patriots.
40	BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be
41	presented to Gulf Stream Chapter 3201 of the Association of the
42	United States Army as a tangible token of the sentiments
43	expressed herein.
