1 A bill to be entitled
2 An act relating to university building and
3 facility designations; providing for the
4 designation of buildings and facilities at the
5 University of Florida, the University of South
6 Florida, and the University of Central Florida;
7 directing the universities to erect suitable
8 markers; providing an effective date.

10 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
11
12 Section 1. Bispham Turfgrass Support Building
13 designated; University of Florida to erect suitable markers.--
14 (1) Bispham Turfgrass Hall at the University of
15 Florida is designated as the "Bispham Turfgrass Support
16 Building."
17 (2) The University of Florida is directed to erect
18 suitable markers designating the Bispham Turfgrass Support
19 Building as described in subsection (1).
20 Section 2. Mark Bostick Golf Course designated;
21 University of Florida to erect suitable markers.--
22 (1) The golf course at the University of Florida is
23 designated as the "Mark Bostick Golf Course."
24 (2) The University of Florida is directed to erect
25 suitable markers designating the Mark Bostick Golf Course as
26 described in subsection (1).
27 Section 3. L. Gale Lemerand Football Support Facility
28 designated; University of Florida to erect suitable markers.--
29 (1) The support building on the football practice
30 fields at the University of Florida is designated as the "L.
31 Gale Lemerand Football Support Facility."

1 (2) The University of Florida is directed to erect
2 suitable markers designating the L. Gale Lemerand Football
3 Support Facility as described in subsection (1).
4 Section 4. Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium designated;
5 University of Florida to erect suitable markers.--
6 (1) The softball stadium at the University of Florida
7 is designated as the "Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium."
8 (2) The University of Florida is directed to erect
9 suitable markers designating the Katie Seashole Pressly
10 Stadium as described in subsection (1).
11 Section 5. Frank and Carol Morsani Center for Advanced
12 Health Care designated; University of South Florida to erect
13 suitable markers.--
14 (1) The complex being constructed at Magnolia and
15 Holly Drive on the USF Tampa Campus, is designated as the
16 "Frank and Carol Morsani Center for Advanced Health Care."
17 (2) The University of South Florida is directed to
18 erect suitable markers designating the Frank and Carol Morsani
19 Center for Advanced Health Care as described in subsection
20 (1).
21 Section 6. Glenn Burdick College of Engineering
22 Building designated; University of South Florida to erect
23 suitable markers.--
24 (1) The College of Engineering Building II at 3820
25 USF-Alumni Drive on the USF Tampa Campus is designated as the
26 "Glenn Burdick College of Engineering Building."
27 (2) The University of South Florida is directed to
28 erect suitable markers designating the Glenn Burdick College
29 of Engineering Building as described in subsection (1).

1 Section 7. Alfred and Rose Schiff Dean's Conference
2 Room designated; University of South Florida to erect suitable
3 markers.--
4 (1) The Dean's Conference Room in the College of
5 Engineering Building II at 3820 USF-Alumni Drive on the USF
6 Tampa Campus is designated as the "Alfred and Rose Schiff
7 Dean's Conference Room."
8 (2) The University of South Florida is directed to
9 erect suitable markers designating the Alfred and Rose Schiff
10 Dean's Conference Room as described in subsection (1).
11 Section 8. Nicholson School of Communication Building
12 designated; University of Central Florida to erect suitable
13 markers.--
14 (1) The Communication Building at the University of
15 Central Florida is designated as the "Nicholson School of
16 Communication."
17 (2) The University of Central Florida is directed to
18 erect suitable markers designating the Nicholson School of
19 Communication as described in subsection (1).
20 Section 9. Anthony and Sonja Nicholson Field House
21 designated; University of Central Florida to erect suitable
22 markers.--
23 (1) The athletics indoor practice facility at the
24 University of Central Florida is designated as the "Anthony
25 and Sonja Nicholson Field House."
26 (2) The University of Central Florida is directed to
27 erect suitable markers designating the Anthony and Sonja
28 Nicholson Field House as described in subsection (1).
29 Section 10. James and Annie Ying Academic Center
30 designated; University of Central Florida to erect suitable
31 markers.--

1 (1) The building that houses the University of Central
2 Florida Downtown Center is designated as the "James and Annie
3 Ying Academic Center."
4 (2) The University of Central Florida is directed to
5 erect suitable markers designating the James and Annie Ying
6 Academic Center as described in subsection (1).
7 Section 11. Burnett Biomedical Sciences Building
8 designated; University of Central Florida health sciences
9 campus at Lake Nona to erect suitable markers.--
10 (1) The Biomedical Sciences Building at the University
11 of Central Florida health sciences campus at Lake Nona is
12 designated as the "Burnett Biomedical Sciences Building."
13 (2) The University of Central Florida is directed to
14 erect suitable markers designating the Burnett Biomedical
15 Sciences Building as described in subsection (1).
16 Section 12. This act shall take effect July 1, 2007.

The committee substitute authorizes the naming of facilities at the
21 University of South Florida and the University of Central Florida.
