1	A bill to be entitled
2	An act relating to child care facilities; amending s.
3	402.305, F.S.; requiring each child care facility to
4	establish standards for instructing child care personnel
5	on matters pertaining to domestic violence; requiring that
6	the instruction include a specified training period for
7	new and experienced child care personnel; providing an
8	effective date.

10	Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
11
12	Section 1.  Paragraph (h) is added to subsection (2) of
13	section 402.305, Florida Statutes, to read:
14	402.305  Licensing standards; child care facilities.--
15	(2)  PERSONNEL.--Minimum standards for child care personnel
16	shall include minimum requirements as to:
17	(h)  Issues of domestic violence. Each child care facility
18	must establish standards for instruction for training child care
19	personnel on matters pertaining to domestic violence. The
20	instruction must include not less than 2 hours of training for
21	new child care personnel and not less than 1 hour of instruction
22	on a periodic and timely basis for experienced child care
23	personnel each year thereafter.
24	Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2007.
