11  The Committee on Agriculture (Peaden) recommended the
12  following amendment:
13  
14         Senate Amendment (with directory and title amendments) 
15         On page 8, between lines 12 and 13,
16  
17  insert:  
18         (n)  "Food establishment" means any factory, food
19  outlet, or any other facility manufacturing, processing,
20  packing, holding, or preparing food, or selling food at
21  wholesale or retail. The term does not include any business or
22  activity that is regulated under chapter 509 or chapter 601.
23  The term includes tomato packinghouses but also does not
24  include any other establishments that pack fruits and
25  vegetables in their raw or natural states, including those
26  fruits or vegetables that are washed, colored, or otherwise
27  treated in their unpeeled, natural form before they are
28  marketed.
