14 Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
15 On page 36, between lines 22 and 23,

17 insert:
18 Section 17. Section 624.46226, Florida Statutes, is
19 created to read:
20 624.46226 Public housing authorities self-insurance
21 funds; exemption for taxation and assessments.--
22 (1) Any two or more public housing authorities in the
23 state as defined in chapter 421 may also create a
24 self-insurance fund for the purpose of self-insuring real or
25 personal property of every kind and every interest in such
26 property against loss or damage from any hazard or cause and
27 against any loss consequential to such loss or damage,
28 provided all the provisions of s. 624.4622 are met.
29 (2) Any public housing authority in the state as
30 defined in chapter 421 that is a member of a self-insurance
31 fund pursuant to this section shall be exempt from the
