A bill to be entitled
2An act relating to Hillsborough County; authorizing the
3Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco of the
4Department of Business and Professional Regulation to
5issue an alcoholic beverage license to Tampa Bay History
6Center, Inc., for use within the Tampa Bay History Center
7building and grounds; providing the license may be used
8for special events only; providing for payment of the
9license fee; providing for sale of beverages for
10consumption within the Tampa Bay History Center building
11and grounds; providing for removal from the premises of
12partially consumed, open containers; providing for
13transfer of the license; providing an effective date.

15Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

17     Section 1.  Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the
18Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco of the Department of
19Business and Professional Regulation is authorized, upon
20application, to issue an alcoholic beverage license in accordance
21with section 561.17, Florida Statutes, to the Tampa Bay History
22Center, Inc., a corporation not for profit (the "corporation")
23located in Hillsborough County, for use by the corporation solely
24within the building known as the Tampa Bay History Center and the
25adjoining grounds under lease to the corporation (the "leased
26grounds") located at 801 St. Pete Times Forum Drive in Tampa. The
27corporation shall pay the applicable license fee provided in
28section 565.02, Florida Statutes. The license may be used for
29special events only.
30     Section 2.  Alcoholic beverages may be sold by the
31corporation for consumption within the Tampa Bay History Center
32and the leased grounds. The license issued pursuant to this act
33shall not permit the sale of alcoholic beverages in sealed
34containers for consumption outside the Tampa Bay History Center
35or the leased grounds. Nothing in this act shall prevent a
36purchaser of such alcoholic beverages from removing an opened,
37partially consumed container of alcoholic beverage from the
38premises of the Tampa Bay History Center or the leased grounds.
39     Section 3.  The corporation may transfer the license from
40time to time to qualified applicants who are either authorized by
41or under contract with the corporation to provide food services
42at the Tampa Bay History Center. Upon termination of a
43transferee's authorization or contract, the license shall
44automatically revert by operation of law to the corporation.
45     Section 4.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a law.
