  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to motor vehicle insurance;

  3         repealing s. 19, ch. 2003-411, Laws of Florida;

  4         abrogating the repeal of the Florida Motor

  5         Vehicle No-Fault Law as provided for in that

  6         section; repealing ss. 627.730, 627.731,

  7         627.732, 627.733, 627.734, 627.736, 627.737,

  8         627.739, 627.7401, 627.7403, 627.7405, F.S.,

  9         the Florida Motor Vehicle No-Fault Law, and

10         providing for future review and reenactment;

11         providing effective dates.

13  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

15         Section 1.  Effective January 1, 2010, sections

16  627.730, 627.731, 627.732, 627.733, 627.734, 627.736, 627.737,

17  627.739, 627.7401, 627.7403, and 627.7405, Florida Statutes,

18  constituting the Florida Motor Vehicle No-Fault Law, are

19  repealed unless reviewed and reenacted by the Legislature

20  before that date.

21         Section 2.  Section 19 of chapter 2003-411, Laws of

22  Florida, is repealed, and, notwithstanding that section,

23  sections 627.730, 627.731, 627.732, 627.733, 627.734, 627.736,

24  627.737, 627.739, 627.7401, 627.7403, and 627.7405, Florida

25  Statutes, are reenacted and shall not stand repealed on

26  October 1, 2007, as provided for in that section.

27         Section 3.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

28  law.

 2                          SENATE SUMMARY

 3    Abrogates the repeal of the Florida Motor Vehicle
      No-Fault Law which was scheduled by section 19 of chapter
 4    2003-411, Laws of Florida, to take effect October 1,
      2007, and provides for the no-fault law's future repeal
 5    and review.
