  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to government financial

  3         reporting; requiring governmental entities,

  4         county and municipal offices, and taxing

  5         authorities to annually prepare a report on

  6         revenues and expenditures; providing

  7         requirements; requiring notification; providing

  8         an effective date.

10  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

11  

12         Section 1.  At the end of the fiscal year of each

13  governmental entity, county or municipal office, and taxing

14  authority in this state, the entity, office, and authority

15  shall prepare a detailed report, on a line-item basis, of each

16  source and amount of revenues received and each category and

17  amount of expenditures made in that fiscal year. Each such

18  entity, office, and authority shall make the report available

19  to residents of the jurisdiction of the entity, office, or

20  authority and shall notify such residents, by mail, newspaper

21  advertisement, or Internet website disclosure, of the

22  availability of such report. The report shall also be provided

23  in electronic form, at no charge, to any person requesting an

24  electronic version.

25         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

26  law.
