15 On page 2, line 25, through
16 page 3, line 6, delete those lines

18 and insert:
19 7. One member shall be appointed at large from Levy,
20 Marion, Citrus, Sumter, Hernando, and Lake Counties.
21 8. One member shall be appointed at large from
22 Sarasota, Hardee, DeSoto, Charlotte, and Highlands Counties.
23 9. One member shall be appointed at large from Levy,
24 Marion and, Citrus, Sumter, Hernando, Lake, Sarasota, Hardee,
25 DeSoto, Charlotte, and Highlands Counties.
26 10. One member shall be appointed at large from
27 Sarasota and Charlotte Counties.

29 No county described in subparagraph 7., subparagraph 8., or
30 subparagraph 9. shall have more than one member on the
31 governing board.

1 Section 2. Appointments to the new offices as members
2 of the Southwest Florida Water Management District which are
3 created under section 1 of this act shall be made as follows:
4 (1) The new at-large member for Levy, Citrus, Sumter,
5 and Lake Counties shall be appointed to a term of office
6 commencing after expiration of the term of the person serving
7 as the at-large member for Levy, Marion, Citrus, Sumter,
8 Hernando, and Lake Counties on the effective date of this act.
9 (2) The new at-large member for Marion and Hernando
10 Counties shall be appointed to a term of office commencing
11 after expiration of the term of the person serving as the
12 at-large member for Levy, Marion, Citrus, Sumter, Hernando,
13 Lake, Sarasota, Hardee, DeSoto, Charlotte, and Highlands
14 Counties on the effective date of this act.
15 (3) The new at-large member for Hardee, DeSoto, and
16 Highlands Counties shall be appointed to a term of office
17 commencing after expiration of the term of the person serving
18 as the at-large member for Sarasota, Hardee, DeSoto,
19 Charlotte, and Highlands Counties.
20 (4) The new at-large member created for Sarasota and
21 Charlotte Counties and the new member residing in Polk County
22 shall be appointed as soon as possible in 2007 to terms of
23 office which expire on March 1, 2011.
