11 The Committee on Banking and Insurance (Deutch) recommended
12 the following amendment:

14 Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
15 On page 3, lines 1 and 2, delete those lines
16
17 and insert: circuit mediators who:
18 1. Are certified by the Florida Bar in admiralty and
19 maritime law; or
20 2.a. Are experienced admiralty practitioners who are
21 qualified by education, training, or experience, as the
22 department determines, to be appropriate in accordance with
23 Rule 6-17.3(b), Rules Regulating the Florida Bar, Minimum
24 Standards for Certification of a Board-Certified Admiralty and
25 Maritime Lawyer; and
26 b. Have undergone training provided by the department
27 or its designee in the mediation of disputes involving marine
28 insurance law.
