12 recommended the following amendment:

14 Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
15 On page 1, lines 20-31, delete those lines
16
17 and insert:
18 (4) Any person seeking a license as an auctioneer must
19 pass a written examination approved by the board which tests
20 his or her general knowledge of the laws of this state
21 relating to provisions of the Uniform Commercial Code that are
22 relevant to auctions, the laws of agency, and the provisions
23 of this act. Each applicant must file a complete set of
24 fingerprints that have been taken by an authorized law
25 enforcement agency or vendor. The Department of Business and
26 Professional Regulations shall submit the fingerprints to the
27 Department of Law Enforcement for state processing, and the
28 Department of Law Enforcement shall forward them to the
29 Federal Bureau of Investigation for national processing. The
30 cost for the fingerprint processing shall be borne by the
31 applicant. The Department of Law Enforcement shall invoice the

1 Department of Business and Professional Regulations for the
2 fingerprints submitted each month. The department shall screen
3 background results to determine if an applicant meets the
4 licensure requirements.

11 insert:
12 requiring the Department of Business and

14 applicant's fingerprints to the Department of

16 Law Enforcement to forward fingerprints to the
17 Federal Bureau of Investigations; requiring the
18 Department of Law Enforcement to invoice the
19 Department of Business and Professional
20 Regulation for submitted fingerprints;
