11  Senator Justice moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
14         On page 2, lines 17-27, delete those lines
15  
16  and insert:  
17         (5)  Every enclosed space or room that contains a
18  boiler regulated under chapter 554 which is fired by the
19  direct application of energy from the combustion of fuels and
20  which is located in any portion of a public lodging
21  establishment that also contains sleeping rooms shall be
22  equipped with one or more carbon monoxide sensor devices that
23  bear the label of a nationally recognized testing laboratory
24  and have been tested and listed as complying with the most
25  recent Underwriters Laboratories, Inc., Standard 2034, or its
26  equivalent, unless it is determined that carbon monoxide
27  hazards have otherwise been adequately mitigated as determined
28  by the division. Such devices shall be
