13         Senate Amendment 
14         On page 22, between lines 11 and 12,
15  
16  insert:  
17         (c)  Any activity requiring a building permit that is
18  applied for on or after July 1, 2008, and for which the
19  estimated cost is $50,000 or more, must include provision of
20  opening protections as required within the Florida Building
21  Code for new construction for a building that is located in
22  the wind-borne debris region as defined in s. 1609.2 of the
23  International Building Code (2006) and that has an insured
24  value of $750,000 or more, or, if the building is uninsured or
25  for which documentation of insured value is not presented, has
26  a just valuation for the structure for purposes of ad valorem
27  taxation of $750,000 or more.
