11  Senator Baker moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
14         On page 20, between lines 2 and 3,
15  
16  insert:  
17         Section 5.  Subsection (4) of section 626.914, Florida
18  Statutes, is amended to read:
19         626.914  Definitions.--As used in this Surplus Lines
20  Law, the term:
21         (4)  "Diligent effort" means seeking coverage from and
22  having been rejected by at least three authorized insurers
23  currently writing this type of coverage and documenting these
24  rejections. However, in the event that the residential
25  structure has a dwelling replacement cost of $1 million or
26  more, "diligent effort" means seeking coverage from and having
27  been rejected by at least one authorized insurer currently
28  writing this type of coverage and documenting this rejection.
