11  The Committee on Finance and Tax (Deutch) recommended the
12  following amendment:
13  
14         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
15         On page 1, following line 31,
16  
17  insert:  
18         Section 1.  Present subsections (3) and (4) of section
19  372.16, Florida Statutes, are renumbered as subsections (6)
20  and (7), respectively, and new subsections (3), (4), and (5)
21  are added to that section, to read:
22         372.16  Private game preserves and farms; penalty.--
23         (3)  Nothing in this section may be construed as
24  restricting or prohibiting the hunting of wildlife as
25  controlled by the state.
26         (4)  A person may not knowingly engage in or sponsor
27  the shooting of an exotic mammal for profit if the exotic
28  mammal is:
29         (a)  Confined in a man-made enclosure, regardless of
30  the size of the enclosure;
31         (b)  Tied, staked, caged, or otherwise restrained from

 1  engaging in normal movement; or
 2         (c)  Released from confinement or restraint in the
 3  presence of a person for the purpose of being killed or
 4  wounded by that person.
 5         (5)  A person may not knowingly purchase, sell, import,
 6  or export any exotic mammal killed or wounded in violation of
 7  this section.

13  And the title is amended as follows:
14         On page 1, line 4, following the semicolon
15  
16  insert:
17         amending s. 372.16, F.S.; prohibiting a person
18         from engaging in or sponsoring the shooting of
19         an exotic mammal for profit under defined
20         circumstances; prohibiting the purchase, sale,
21         import, or export of an exotic mammal that is
22         unlawfully killed or wounded; providing
23         penalties;
