  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to license plates; amending ss.

  3         320.08056 and 320.08058, F.S.; creating a

  4         Corrections Foundation license plate; providing

  5         for the distribution of annual use fees

  6         received from the sale of such plates;

  7         providing an effective date.

  9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

10  

11         Section 1.  Paragraph (iii) is added to subsection (4)

12  of section 320.08056, Florida Statutes, to read:

13         320.08056  Specialty license plates.--

14         (4)  The following license plate annual use fees shall

15  be collected for the appropriate specialty license plates:

16         (iii)  Corrections Foundation license plate, $25.

17         Section 2.  Subsection (61) is added to section

18  320.08058, Florida Statutes, to read:

19         320.08058  Specialty license plates.--

20         (61)  CORRECTIONS FOUNDATION LICENSE PLATES.--

21         (a)  The department shall develop a Corrections

22  Foundation license plate as provided in this section. The word

23  "Florida" must appear at the top of the plate, the words

24  "Corrections Foundation" must appear at the bottom of the

25  plate, and the Corrections Foundation logo must appear to the

26  left of the numerals.

27         (b)  The annual use fees shall be distributed to

28  Corrections Foundation, Inc., a direct-support organization

29  created pursuant to s. 944.802, and shall be used to continue

30  and expand the charitable work of the foundation, as provided

 1  in s. 944.802 and the articles of incorporation of the

 2  foundation.

 3         Section 3.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2007.
