15 On page 65, between lines 8 and 9,

17 insert:
18 Section 29. Subsection (2) of section 63.182, Florida
19 Statutes, is amended to read:
20 63.182 Statute of repose.--
21 (2)(a) Except for the specific persons expressly
22 entitled to be given notice of an adoption in accordance with
23 this chapter, the interest that entitles a person to notice of
24 an adoption of a minor must be direct, financial, and
25 immediate, and the person must show that he or she will gain
26 or lose by the direct legal operation and effect of the
27 judgment. A showing of an indirect, inconsequential, or
28 contingent interest is wholly inadequate, and a person with
29 this indirect interest lacks standing to set aside a judgment
30 of adoption of a minor.
31 (b) This subsection is remedial and shall apply to all

1 adoptions, including those in which a judgment of adoption has
2 already been entered.

12 amending s. 63.182, F.S.; limiting provisions
13 of the statute of repose regarding interests
14 concerning an adoption only to the adoption of
15 a minor;
