11  The Committee on Transportation (Bullard) recommended the
12  following amendment to amendment (280252):
13  
14         Senate Amendment 
15         On page 5, between lines 2 and 3,
16  
17  insert:  320.08068  Motorcycle specialty license plates.
18         (8)(a)  Notwithstanding the provisions of s. 320.08053,
19  the department shall develop an ABATE of FLORIDA, Inc.,
20  motorcycle plate as provided in this section.
21         (b)  ABATE of Florida motorcycle plate will be white
22  with black letters. The top of the plate will read Florida and
23  the bottom of the plate will say ABATE of Florida, Inc. On the
24  left side will appear the ABATE of Florida, Inc. emblem in
25  black.
26         (c)  The price of the tag will be the normal tag price
27  and a $20.00 extra fee to be retained by ABATE of Florida,
28  Inc. a 501C4 not-for-profit Florida corporation.
29         (d)  The Department shall retain funds from the first
30  sales sufficient to cover the cost of plate development.
31         (e)  The license plate annual use fees shall be used by

 1  ABATE of Florida, a Florida non-profit organization, for the
 2  sole purpose of public education programs teaching motorcycle
 3  safety and awareness. No monies are authorized for
 4  administration, marketing promotion or development of the
 5  plate.
 6         (f)  Due to the unique and special nature of the plate,
 7  s. 320.08056(8)(a) shall not apply to the ABATE of Florida
 8  motorcycle license plate.
