11  The Committee on Environmental Preservation and Conservation
12  (Dockery and Gaetz) recommended the following amendment:
13  
14         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
15         On page 56, line 14, through page 57, line 12, delete
16  those lines
17  
18  and insert:  
19         (1)  From the annual revenues deposited in the trust
20  fund, unless otherwise specified in the General Appropriations
21  Act:
22         (a)(1)  Up to 40 percent shall be used for funding
23  solid waste activities of the department and other state
24  agencies, such as providing technical assistance to local
25  governments and the private sector, performing solid waste
26  regulatory and enforcement functions, preparing solid waste
27  documents, and implementing solid waste education programs.
28         (b)(2)  Up to 4.5 percent shall be used for funding
29  research and training programs relating to solid waste
30  management through the Center for Solid and Hazardous Waste

Florida Senate - 2007 COMMITTEE AMENDMENT Bill No. SB 2052 Barcode 052834 1 demonstrate the capability to carry out such projects. 2 (c)(3) Up to 11 percent shall be used for funding to 3 supplement any other funds provided to the Department of 4 Agriculture and Consumer Services for mosquito control. This 5 distribution shall be annually transferred to the General 6 Inspection Trust Fund in the Department of Agriculture and 7 Consumer Services to be used for mosquito control, especially 8 control of West Nile Virus. 9 (d)(4) Up to 4.5 percent shall be used for funding to 10 the Department of Transportation for litter prevention and 11 control programs through a certified Keep America Beautiful 12 Affiliate at the local level coordinated by Keep Florida 13 Beautiful, Inc. 14 (e)(5) A minimum of 40 percent shall be used for 15 funding a competitive and innovative grant program pursuant to 16 s. 403.7095 for activities relating to recycling and reducing 17 the volume of municipal solid waste, including waste tires 18 requiring final disposal. 19 20 21 ================ T I T L E A M E N D M E N T =============== 22 And the title is amended as follows: 23 On page 3, line 13, after the word "fees" 24 25 insert: 26 for litter prevention and control 27 28 29 30 31 2 9:35 AM 03/07/07 s2052.ep15.05a
