  1                        Senate Resolution

  2         A resolution recognizing National Patient

  3         Safety Awareness Week, March 4-10, 2007.

  4  

  5         WHEREAS, National Patient Safety Awareness Week is an

  6  educational and awareness-building campaign for improving

  7  patient safety, and

  8         WHEREAS, National Patient Safety Awareness Week is

  9  observed on March 4-10, 2007, and

10         WHEREAS, the theme of the 2007 National Patient Safety

11  Awareness Week is "Patient Safety: A Road Taken Together," and

12         WHEREAS, the Florida Patient Safety Corporation and

13  Florida's health care delivery system are committed to

14  partnering with patients to continually improve patient

15  safety, and

16         WHEREAS, the Florida Patient Safety Corporation and

17  Florida's health care delivery system are engaged in a variety

18  of activities to enhance patient safety for Florida residents,

19  and

20         WHEREAS, the Florida Legislature seeks to improve the

21  quality and safety of health care and to reduce potential harm

22  to patients, NOW, THEREFORE,

23  

24  Be It Resolved by the Senate of the State of Florida:

25  

26         That the Florida Senate recognizes March 4-10, 2007, as

27  Patient Safety Awareness Week in Florida in recognition of the

28  importance of patient safety to all Florida residents.
