12  following amendment to amendment (364296):

14         Senate Amendment 
15         On page 1, line 31, through page 2, line 28, delete
16  those lines
17  
18  and insert:  
19         468.831  Exemptions.--The following persons are not
20  required to comply with any provision of this part:
21         (1)  An authorized government employee of the United
22  states, this state, or any municipality, county, or other
23  political subdivision who is conducting home inspection
24  services within the scope of that employment, as long as the
25  employee does not hold out for hire to the general public or
26  otherwise engage in home inspection services.
27         (2)  A person acting within his or her authorized scope
28  of practice as licensed under federal, state, or local codes
29  or statutes, except when such person holds himself or herself
30  out for hire to the public as a "certified home inspector,"
31  "registered home inspector," "licensed home inspector,""home
