11  The Committee on Governmental Operations (Lawson) recommended
12  the following amendment:

14         Senate Amendment 
15         On page 2, lines 4 through 14, delete those lines
16  
17  and insert:  efforts, including the promotion of healthful
18  lifestyles, immunization practices, health literacy, and the
19  assessment and promotion of the physician and health care
20  workforce in order to meet the health care needs of the state.
21  The State Surgeon General shall focus on advocating healthful
22  lifestyles, developing public health policy, and building
23  collaborative partnerships with schools, businesses, health
24  care practitioners, community-based organizations, and public
25  and private institutions in order to promote the optimum
26  quality of life for all Floridians.
