11 The Committee on Health Policy (Dawson) recommended the
12 following amendment:

14 Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
15 On page 23, between lines 7 and 8,
16
17 insert:
18 Section 22. The Department of Children and Family
19 Services shall complete a study to find the most appropriate
20 model and methods to provide alcohol and substance abuse
21 treatment and prevention services to pregnant women and
22 pregnant minors who place their unborn child at risk for
23 exposure to alcohol or psychotropic or mood-altering
24 substances. The Department of Children and Family Services
25 must present its findings and recommendations to the Governor,
26 the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the President
27 of the Senate by January 1, 2008.
28 Section 23. The Legislature appropriates $250,000 of
29 non-recurring funds from the General Revenue Fund to the
30 Department of Children and Family Services during Fiscal Year
31 2007-08 for the completion of the study on ways to provide

10 On page 3, line 25 after the semicolon

12 insert:

18 exposure to alcohol or psychotropic or
19 mood-altering substances; providing an
20 appropriation;
