  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the official Florida

  3         Statutes; amending ss. 11.2421, 11.2422,

  4         11.2424, and 11.2425, F.S.; adopting the

  5         Florida Statutes 2007 and designating the

  6         portions thereof that are to constitute the

  7         official law of the state; providing that the

  8         Florida Statutes 2007 shall be effective

  9         immediately upon publication; providing that

10         general laws enacted during the 2006 regular

11         session and prior thereto and not included in

12         the Florida Statutes 2007 are repealed;

13         providing that general laws enacted during the

14         January 16-22, 2007, special session and the

15         2007 regular session are not repealed by this

16         adoption act.

18  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

19  

20         Section 1.  Section 11.2421, Florida Statutes, is

21  amended to read:

22         11.2421  Florida Statutes 2007 2006 adopted.--The

23  accompanying revision, consolidation, and compilation of the

24  public statutes of 2006 2005 of a general and permanent

25  nature, excepting tables, rules, indexes, and other related

26  matter contained therein, prepared by the Office of

27  Legislative Services under the provisions of s. 11.242,

28  together with corrections, changes, and amendments to and

29  repeals of provisions of Florida Statutes 2006 2005 enacted in

30  additional reviser's bill or bills by the 2007 2006

31  Legislature, is adopted and enacted as the official statute

 1  law of the state under the title of "Florida Statutes 2007

 2  2006" and shall take effect immediately upon publication. Said

 3  statutes may be cited as "Florida Statutes 2007 2006,"

 4  "Florida Statutes," or "F.S. 2007 2006."

 5         Section 2.  Section 11.2422, Florida Statutes, is

 6  amended to read:

 7         11.2422  Statutes repealed.--Every statute of a general

 8  and permanent nature enacted by the State or by the Territory

 9  of Florida at or prior to the 2006 2005 regular legislative

10  session, and every part of such statute, not included in

11  Florida Statutes 2007 2006, as adopted by s. 11.2421, as

12  amended, or recognized and continued in force by reference

13  therein or in ss. 11.2423 and 11.2424, as amended, is

14  repealed.

15         Section 3.  Section 11.2424, Florida Statutes, is

16  amended to read:

17         11.2424  Laws not repealed.--Laws enacted at the

18  January 16-22, 2007 December 5-8, 2005, special session and

19  the 2007 2006 regular session are not repealed by the adoption

20  and enactment of the Florida Statutes 2007 2006 by s. 11.2421,

21  as amended, but shall have full effect as if enacted after its

22  said adoption and enactment.

23         Section 4.  Section 11.2425, Florida Statutes, is

24  amended to read:

25         11.2425  Rights reserved under repealed statutes.--The

26  repeal of any statute by the adoption and enactment of Florida

27  Statutes 2007 2006, by s. 11.2421, as amended, shall not

28  affect any right accrued before such repeal or any civil

29  remedy where a suit is pending.
