11 The Committee on Community Affairs (Hill) recommended the
12 following amendment:

14 Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
15 Delete everything after the enacting clause

17 and insert:
18 Section 1. Paragraphs (c) and (d) of subsection (7) of
19 section 258.501, Florida Statutes, are redesignated as
20 paragraphs (d) and (e), respectively, and a new paragraph (c)
21 is added to that subsection, to read:
22 258.501 Myakka River; wild and scenic segment.--
23 (7) MANAGEMENT COORDINATING COUNCIL.--
24 (c) The Myakka River Management Coordinating Council
25 shall prepare a report recommending the expansion of the
26 Florida Wild and Scenic River designation to include the
27 entire Myakka River. At a minimum, the report shall include a
28 description of the extent of the Myakka River area that may be
29 covered under the designation and any recommendations or
30 concerns of affected parties or other interests. During the
31 development of the report, at least one public hearing shall

1 be held in each of the affected areas of Manatee and Charlotte
2 counties. The report shall be submitted to the Governor, the
3 President of the Senate, and the Speaker of the House of
4 Representatives no later than January 1, 2008.
5 Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2007.

20 and the Legislature; providing an effective
21 date.
