11  Senator Webster moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
14         On page 11, lines 9-20, delete those lines
15  
16  and insert:  
17         (3)  PROGRAM; SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY.--The Corporate
18  Income Tax Credit Scholarship Program is established.
19         (a)  A student is eligible for a corporate income tax
20  credit scholarship if the student qualifies for free or
21  reduced-price school lunches under the National School Lunch
22  Act and:
23         1.(a)  Was counted as a full-time equivalent student
24  during the previous state fiscal year for purposes of state
25  per-student funding;
26         2.(b)  Received a scholarship from an eligible
27  nonprofit scholarship-funding organization or from the State
28  of Florida during the previous school year; or
29         3.(c)  Is eligible to enter kindergarten or first
30  grade.
31         (b)  A student is eligible for a corporate income tax

 1  credit scholarship if the student:
 2         1.  Has spent the prior school year in attendance at a
 3  public school that has been designated under s. 1008.34 as
 4  performance grade category "F," failing to make adequate
 5  progress, and that has had 2 school years in a 4-year period
 6  of such low performance, and the student's attendance occurred
 7  during a school year in which such designation was in effect;
 8         2.  Has been in attendance elsewhere in the public
 9  school system and has been assigned to such school for the
10  next school year; or
11         3.  Is entering kindergarten or first grade and has
12  been notified that the student has been assigned to such
13  school for the next school year.
