11  The Committee on Children, Families, and Elder Affairs (Hill)
12  recommended the following amendment:
13  
14         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
15         Delete everything after the enacting clause
16  
17  and insert:  
18         Section 1.  Subsection (8) is added to section 402.301,
19  Florida Statutes, to read:
20         402.301  Child care facilities; legislative intent and
21  declaration of purpose and policy.--It is the legislative
22  intent to protect the health, safety, and well-being of the
23  children of the state and to promote their emotional and
24  intellectual development and care.  Toward that end:
25         (8)  It is the intent of the Legislature that a public
26  child care facility designated as a "Gold Seal Quality Care"
27  facility under s. 402.281 provide children receiving services
28  under s. 411.01(6)(a)1. first priority for placement upon
29  request for a service.
30         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2007.

 7         An act relating to child care services;
 8         providing legislative intent that children at
 9         risk of abuse, neglect, or exploitation receive
10         priority for placement and services at public
11         child care centers designated as Gold Seal
12         Quality Care facilities; providing an effective
13         date.
