14 On page 1, before line 18,

16 insert:
17 Section 1. Section 624.46226, Florida Statutes, is
18 created to read:
19 624.46226 Public housing authorities self-insurance
20 funds; exemption for taxation and assessments.--
21 (1) Any two or more public housing authorities in the
22 state as defined in chapter 421 may also create a
23 self-insurance fund as defined in s. 624.4622 for the purpose
24 of self-insuring real or personal property of every kind and
25 every interest in such property against loss or damage from
26 any hazard or cause and against any loss consequential to such
27 loss or damage if all the provisions of s. 624.4622 are met.
28 (2) Any public housing authority in the state as
29 defined in chapter 421 which is a member of a self-insurance
30 fund pursuant to this section is exempt from the assessments
31 imposed under ss. 627.351, 631.57, and 215.555.
