13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
14         On page 1, line 17,

16  insert:  
17         Section 1.  Subsection (4) of section 626.914, Florida
18  Statutes, is amended to read:
19         626.914  Definitions.--As used in this Surplus Lines
20  Law, the term:
21         (4)  "Diligent effort" means seeking coverage from and
22  having been rejected by at least three authorized insurers
23  currently writing this type of coverage and documenting these
24  rejections. However, if the residential structure has a
25  dwelling replacement cost of $1 million or more, the term
26  means seeking coverage from and having been rejected by at
27  least one authorized insurer currently writing this type of
28  coverage and documenting this rejection.
