1 Senate Resolution
2 A resolution recognizing the Naples Braves,
3 winners of the 2006 Junior Little League Girls
4 Softball World Championship in the 13- and
5 14-year-old division.

7 WHEREAS, the Naples Girls Softball Little League 13-
8 and 14-year-old division achieved its 14th World Championship
9 and brought home the 18th Championship for the entire league
10 at the 2006 World Series in Kirkland, Washington, in August,
11 and
12 WHEREAS, the Naples Braves Junior Softball Little
13 League may go down in history as the most dominant defensive
14 team to play Little League Softball with 16 shutouts, 9
15 no-hitters (3 of them perfect games), 6 one-hitters, and only
16 5 runs surrendered all summer, and
17 WHEREAS, outstanding skill, sportsmanship, and
18 competitiveness have been characteristic of Braves teammates
19 Ragan Ball, Meaghan Barry, Hilary Brown, Chelsea Buchman, Ryan
20 Iamurri, Symone Iamurri, Erin Olson, Erika Parry, Kaitlyn
21 Raile, Kiley Stoll, Savannah Strohmeyer, Jaclyn Traina, Cody
22 Wipperman, and of their coaches, Robert Iamurri, Rocky
23 Iamurri, and Craig Buchman, NOW, THEREFORE,

25 Be It Resolved by the Senate of the State of Florida:

27 That the Florida Senate commends the Naples Braves for
28 the honor and pride they have brought to this state by their
29 outstanding dedication and performance as athletes.
30 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution,
31 with the Seal of the Senate affixed, be presented to the
