11  The Committee on Criminal Justice (Aronberg) recommended the
12  following amendment:
13  
14         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
15         On page 22, between lines 16 and 17,
16  
17  insert:  
18         Section 10.  (1)  The owner, operator, or primary agent
19  of a bail bond agency may provide electronic monitoring
20  equipment and services for defendants released from custody on
21  surety bond and subject to conditions including electronic
22  monitoring.
23         (2)  A bail bond agent may charge a person subject to
24  electronic monitoring a nonrefundable fee for such monitoring
25  equipment and services. Such fees are not part of the bail
26  bond premium and are exempt from s. 648.33, Florida Statutes.
27         (3)  Records and receipts for such electronic
28  monitoring equipment and services shall be kept separate from
29  bail bond records and shall be made available for inspection
30  by the court or appropriate governmental entity.
