  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to child care facilities;

  3         amending s. 402.305, F.S.; requiring each child

  4         care facility to establish standards for

  5         instructing child care personnel on matters

  6         pertaining to domestic violence; requiring that

  7         the instruction include a specified training

  8         period for new and experienced child care

  9         personnel; providing an effective date.

11  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

12  

13         Section 1.  Paragraph (h) is added to subsection (2) of

14  section 402.305, Florida Statutes, to read:

15         402.305  Licensing standards; child care facilities.--

16         (2)  PERSONNEL.--Minimum standards for child care

17  personnel shall include minimum requirements as to:

18         (h)  Issues of domestic violence. Each child care

19  facility must establish standards for instruction for training

20  child care personnel on matters pertaining to domestic

21  violence. The instruction must include not less than 2 hours

22  of training for new child care personnel and not less than 1

23  hour of instruction on a periodic and timely basis for

24  experienced child care personnel each year thereafter.

25         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2007.

29    Requires each child care facility to establish standards
