A bill to be entitled
2An act relating to law enforcement communications;
3amending s. 282.1095, F.S.; increasing the membership of
4the Joint Task Force on State Agency Law Enforcement
5Communications; providing for payment of per diem and
6travel costs; providing an effective date.

8Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

10     Section 1.  Paragraphs (a) and (e) of subsection (2) of
11section 282.1095, Florida Statutes, are amended to read:
12     282.1095  State agency law enforcement radio system and
13interoperability network.--
14     (2)(a)  The Joint Task Force on State Agency Law
15Enforcement Communications shall consist of 15 eight members, as
16follows:
17     1.  A representative of the Division of Alcoholic Beverages
18and Tobacco of the Department of Business and Professional
19Regulation who shall be appointed by the secretary of the
20department.
21     2.  A representative of the Division of Florida Highway
22Patrol of the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles
23who shall be appointed by the executive director of the
24department.
25     3.  A representative of the Department of Law Enforcement
26who shall be appointed by the executive director of the
27department.
28     4.  A representative of the Fish and Wildlife Conservation
29Commission who shall be appointed by the executive director of
30the commission.
31     5.  A representative of the Division of Law Enforcement of
32the Department of Environmental Protection who shall be
33appointed by the secretary of the department.
34     6.  A representative of the Department of Corrections who
35shall be appointed by the secretary of the department.
36     7.  A representative of the Division of State Fire Marshal
37of the Department of Financial Services who shall be appointed
38by the State Fire Marshal.
39     8.  A representative of the Department of Transportation
40who shall be appointed by the secretary of the department.
41     9.  A representative of the Division of Emergency
42Management who shall be appointed by the director of the
43division.
44     10.  A representative of the Florida Police Chiefs
45Association who shall be appointed by the president of the
46association.
47     11.  A representative of the Florida Sheriffs Association
48who shall be appointed by the president of the association.
49     12.  A representative of the Florida Fire Chiefs
50Association who shall be appointed by the president of the
51association.
52     13.  A representative of the Florida Police Benevolent
53Association who shall be appointed by the president of the
54association.
55     14.  A representative of the Florida Fraternal Order of
56Police who shall be appointed by the president of the order.
57     15.  A representative of the Florida Professional
58Firefighters Association who shall be appointed by the president
59of the association.
60     (e)  The per diem and travel expenses incurred by each
61joint task force member listed in subparagraphs (a)1.-9. a
62member of the joint task force in attending its meetings and in
63attending to its affairs shall be paid pursuant to s. 112.061,
64from funds budgeted to the state agency that the member
65represents. The per diem and travel expenses incurred by each
66joint task force member listed in subparagraphs (a)10.-15. in
67attending its meetings and in attending to its affairs shall be
68paid by the entity that the member represents.
69     Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2007.
