11  The Committee on Children, Families, and Elder Affairs
12  (Margolis) recommended the following amendment:
13  
14         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
15         On page 27, lines 12 through 23, delete those lines
16  
17  and insert:  
18         Section 8.  Paragraph (a) of subsection (3) and
19  subsection (13) of section 960.03, Florida Statutes, are
20  amended to read:
21         960.03  Definitions; ss. 960.01-960.28.--As used in ss.
22  960.01-960.28, unless the context otherwise requires, the
23  term:
24         (3)  "Crime" means:
25         (a)  A felony or misdemeanor offense committed by
26  either an adult or a juvenile which results in physical injury
27  or death or which results in a psychiatric or psychological
28  injury to a minor who was not physically injured by the
29  criminal act. The term also includes any such criminal act
30  which is committed within this state but which falls
31  exclusively within federal jurisdiction.

Florida Senate - 2007 COMMITTEE AMENDMENT Bill No. SB 2736 Barcode 081332 1 (13) "Victim" means: 2 (a) A person who suffers personal physical injury or 3 death as a direct result of a crime; 4 (b) Except as otherwise set forth in paragraph (3)(a) 5 concerning injuries to minors, a person less than 16 years of 6 age who was present at the scene of a crime, saw or heard the 7 crime, and suffered a psychiatric or psychological injury 8 because of the crime, but who was not physically injured; or 9 (c) A person against whom a forcible felony was 10 committed and who suffers a psychiatric or psychological 11 injury as a direct result of that crime but who does not 12 otherwise sustain a personal physical injury or death. 13 14 15 ================ T I T L E A M E N D M E N T =============== 16 And the title is amended as follows: 17 On page 1, line 10, delete that line 18 19 and insert: 20 redefining the terms "crime" and "victim" for 21 the purposes of 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 2 8:48 AM 04/18/07 s2736c-cf35-t3w
