  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the indecent wearing of

  3         below-waist underwear; prohibiting a student

  4         from exposing below-waist underwear in a

  5         specified manner while on the grounds of a

  6         public school; providing penalties; providing

  7         an effective date.

  9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

10  

11         Section 1.  Exposure of undergarments.--

12         (1)  A student may not wear and expose below-waist

13  underwear while on the grounds of a public school in a manner

14  that exposes or exhibits one's covered or uncovered sexual

15  organs in a vulgar and indecent manner.

16         (2)  A student who violates this section shall be given

17  a verbal warning for a first offense. A student who violates

18  this section a second time shall be suspended from school for

19  3 days. A student who violates this section a third or

20  subsequent time shall be suspended from school for 10 days.

21         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2007.

24                          SENATE SUMMARY

25    Prohibits a student from wearing below-waist underwear in
      a manner that exposes or exhibits one's covered or
26    uncovered sexual organs. Provides for a verbal warning
      for a first offense and suspension from school for a
27    second or subsequent offense.
