In Section 26, on Page 378, DELETE the following:
SECTION 26. Of the funds appropriated by section 42 of chapter 2006-12,
Laws of Florida, for the Florida Comprehensive Hurricane Damage
Mitigation Program established in section 215.5586, Florida Statutes, an
additional $22.5 million shall be for the Manufactured Housing and
Mobile Home Mitigation and Enhancement Program specified in section
215.559(3)(b), Florida Statutes, as created by this act. The Department
of Financial Services shall use these funds to contract with Tallahassee
Community College to implement the Manufactured Housing and Mobile Home
Mitigation and Enhancement Program.

implement the Manufactured Housing and Mobile Home Mitigation and
Enhancement Program.

Of the funds appropriated by section 42 of chapter 2006-12,
Laws of Florida, for the Florida Comprehensive Hurricane Damage
Mitigation Program established in section 215.5586, Florida Statutes, up
to $1.6 million shall be used by the Office of Insurance Regulation, in
consultation with the Department of Community Affairs and the Florida
Building Commission, to conduct or cause to be conducted one or more
wind loss mitigation studies. The studies shall evaluate the windstorm
loss relativities for construction features including, but not limited
to, those which enhance roof strength, roof covering performance,
roof-to-wall strength, wall-to-floor-to-foundation strength, opening
protections, and window, door, and skylight strength. The studies shall
include residential property (including single family and multi-family
homes, mobile homes, manufactured housing, and condominiums) and
commercial non-residential property. The studies shall include, but not
be limited to, analysis of loss data from the 2004 and 2005 hurricanes.
The findings of the studies shall be reported to the Governor, the
President of the Senate, the Speaker of the House of Representatives,
the Chief Financial Officer, and the Insurance Commissioner no later
than March 1, 2008.
