11 Senator Margolis moved the following amendment:

13 Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
14 On page 7, between lines 3 and 4,

16 insert:
17 Section 5. In order to implement Specific
18 Appropriation 467 of the 2007-2008 General Appropriations Act,
19 subsection (17) is added to section 253.03, Florida Statutes,
20 to read:
21 253.03 Board of trustees to administer state lands;
22 lands enumerated.--
23 (17) Notwithstanding subsections (1)-(16), for the
24 2007-2008 fiscal year only, and upon approval of the Board of
25 Trustees of the Internal Improvement Trust Fund if necessary,
26 the Division of State Lands of the Department of Environmental
27 Protection shall lease the existing South Florida Evaluation
28 and Treatment Center complex in Miami-Dade County, currently
29 under lease to the Department of Children and Family Services,
30 to Miami-Dade County for the amount of $1 per year for 99
31 years to be used by the county for its expanded jail diversion

1 program. The lease of the property shall take place in the
2 2007-2008 fiscal year, and Miami-Dade County shall sublease
3 the facility to the existing lessee for $1 per year until the
4 new South Florida Evaluation and Treatment Center is completed
5 on or about April 2008. This subsection expires July 1, 2008.

15 amending s. 253.03, F.S.; requiring the

19 term; requiring Miami-Dade County to sublease
20 the facility to the existing lessee until the
21 new South Florida Evaluation and Treatment
22 Center is completed;
