        An act relating to biomedical research;

        providing legislative intent to support the

        development of FDA-recognized botanical drugs

        from a patented complex that enhances the

        effects of vaccines, helps suppress cancerous

        tumors, and improves the functioning of the

        human immune system; summarizing testing

 the human immune system. Beginning in the 2007-2008 fiscal

 year, the Legislature will carry out that goal by funding the

 development of FDA-recognized botanical drugs from a

 polyphenylypropenoid polysaccharide complex (PPC), a complex

 produced from pine cones which has been developed and patented

 by such an entity. Research completed to date has shown that

 this complex is capable of enhancing the immune system in such

 a way that vaccines and chemotherapy will work more
