11  The Committee on Judiciary (Baker) recommended the following
12  amendment:
13  
14         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
15         On page 9, lines 16-17, delete those lines
16  
17  and insert:  determine paternity, which may result in
18  termination of the legal father's parental rights, in which
19  another man is alleged to be the biological father. Before
20  service of process by publication may be made, the petitioner
21  shall conduct a diligent search and inquiry to locate the
22  legal father. A diligent search must include the inquiries
23  required by s. 63.088(5). The petitioner shall execute an
24  affidavit of diligent search and file it with the court
25  confirming completion of each aspect of the diligent search
26  enumerated in s. 63.088(5) and specifying the results. If the
27  legal father cannot be located, he shall be served with
28  process by publication in the manner provided in chapter 49.
29  The notice shall be published in the county where the legal
30  father was last known to have resided. The clerk of the
31  circuit court shall mail a copy of the notice to the legal
